VALOR Team is growing again! Welcome to the team Jussi Sairanen and Heikki Mäki. Jussi has particularly extensive and strong experience e.g. in retail, consumer goods manufacturing and wholesale. Heikki rejoined VALOR after working short period elsewhere. Heikki has over eight years of client and project work experience in various industries.
Let’s get to know our new colleagues:
You both have a background in different advisory companies – what made you join the VALOR team?
Jussi: VALOR offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where strategic impact and hands-on leadership drive meaningful change. VALOR Partners provides a tailored approach fostering deep client relationships and agile decision-making. The firm’s entrepreneurial spirit allows for greater autonomy, innovation, and direct influence on business growth.
Heikki: Simply put, the Team, interesting projects and overall “can do” attitude that VALOR has. It was an easy decision to return and I see this as an excellent possibility to build my capabilities as an advisor and build the team by bringing in my experience.
What is your most memorable client encounter so far?
Jussi: One of my most interesting client encounters was when we agreed to start a project for a company to find a strategic European licensing partner, enabling them to expand their market reach and unlock new growth opportunities.
Heikki: Tough one – there are many memorable ones and it’s hard to hold one above the others. On a few occasions, the client’s people have really surprised me with their tenacity, diligence and their attitude towards their work – even though those are not singular encounters, those are things that stick with you for years and can change your general view on different businesses altogether.
What are you most looking forward to in the upcoming spring months?
Jussi: Looking forward to a season of fresh opportunities, renewed energy, and strategic growth, as spring brings new projects, collaborations, and the momentum to drive impactful change.
Heikki: I’m looking forward on working with different teams in upcoming projects. Outside work-life, I’m really looking forward of our family trip to Levi during Easter.
